| Nuggets’ Timofey Mozgov Heads To Europe During NBA… | |
Read More: Timofey Mozgov (C – DEN), Denver Nuggets While Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson is still thinking about playing in Europe if the NBA Lockout heads into the fall (and it likely will), teammate Timofey Mozgov has signed a contract with BC Khimki Moscow in Russia, according to Sportando. While no financial terms have been discloses yet, the deal is reportedly for one year with an NBA out, allowing Mozgov to return to the Nuggets once the lockout is over. Mozgov came to Denver as part of the Carmelo Anthony-to-New York deal back in February. He managed to see time in just 11 games with them, averaging 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in six minutes. If the Nuggets are unable to re-sign Nene once the lockout ends and free agency begins, the team could be looking at Mozgov starting at center on Opening Night. Mozgov began his career with Khimki before coming over to the NBA in 2010. For more on the Nuggets, visit Denver Stiffs. Feel free to leave your comments below. | Items From Carmelo Anthony’s Mansion Go Up For… | |
DENVER (CBS4) – Last season Carmelo Anthony left town in a hurry, leaving the Denver Nuggets behind and joining with the New York Knicks. It seems as though he left his mansion in Littleton behind just as quickly. In June the house sold for $6 million, half of what Anthony paid for it. Now everything inside must go. Many of Anthony’s possessions that furnished the mansion were set to be auctioned off on Sunday afternoon in Denver. Much of the items were featured on an episode of MTV’s “Cribs,” which featured Anthony and his wife LaLa Vazquez Anthony. Here are images of some of the items which were set to be auctioned off.

| NBA Draft Lottery: How Have The Denver Nuggets Done? | |
Though the Denver Nuggets have been outside of the NBA Draft lottery for eight straight years (2003, Carmelo Anthony, No. 3 overall), how well has the team done when it has been there. For arbitrariness, we’ll limit this to selections since 1994, the year the current lottery system was implemented (1,000 chances divided unequally among the teams). But we’ll throw in selections that were made by other teams, but immediately traded to the Nuggets.
1994: No lottery selection As with most things over time, there was the good and there was the bad. Making a draft day trade of Rodney Rogers and Brent Barry for Antonio McDyess was a great move, but the teams never reached playoffs during McDyess’ time with the Nuggets. Adding Tony Battie, Raef LaFrentz and Keon Clark never helped the equation. While Skeeta turned into a big stiff, Nene in 2002 and Carmelo Anthony in 2003 helped turn around the Nuggets since then, most of the credit for that going to ‘Melo. The question for the Nuggets now is if they’ll be able to sustain that success without Carmelo Anthony and avoid selecting in the lottery (minus acquisition through trade) again. Comment Below!. |
