The Nuggets were unable to find their coveted 7-footer in the draft or free agency, so they signed Al Harrington, a power forward who likes to run and shoot, to a five-year deal worth more than $26 million in guarantees, then lured free agent Shelden Williams from Boston for about $915,000 in 2010-11.

Led by No. 1 overall pick John Wall, the draft board was filled with potential stars during the 2010 NBA Draft. The Nuggets didn’t have a selection Thursday but were close to making a trade that would have netted a big man in the second round.

Nuggets trading Lawson for draft pick?

The Denver Nuggets are looking to get a Top 10 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, according to ESPN. The site reports that Nuggets GM Mark Warkentein has been trying to figure out which teams would be interested in such a deal and is offering guard Ty Lawson (notes) for the draft pick. Lawson, who was drafted in the first round last year by the Minnesota Timberwolves and then traded to the Nuggets for a future first-round pick, averaged 8.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game last season.
